The search results found 20 surahs containing 39 muḥsin verses that describe specifically in the singular and plural, but the researcher only took 24 of the 39 verses, because 24 verses contained the core of this discussion. Data analysis technique with descriptive-analytical method analyzes the data of muḥsin verses based on the contents of Hamka's Tafsir Al-Azhar. The approach in this study uses an interpretative approach. The research entitled “Penafsiran Muḥsin Menurut Buya Hamka dalam Tafsir Al-Azhar” will focus on discussing the interpretation of musin verses in the Qur'an according to the book of Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka. So the word muḥsin still requires further clarification, reviewed according to the point of view of the Qur'an as the holy book of Muslims and it would be better if it was added to an interpretation by an interpreter especially from Indonesia. It is not easy for someone to be categorized as a muḥsin. So it is difficult to understand and practice musin behavior in everyday life. For example, from academics Sufism trained professionals, mufassir, ulama, or others unravel the significance of muḥsin in various ways according to their respective understandings, in addition to that, the meaning of muḥsin does not yet have limiting and binding rules.
